Frequently asked questions
The Winston is building a new clubhouse for 2025! All departments are in trailers in the parking lot. There is the Golf Shop, food trailer, and event tent. The course is fully playable. Your YWE host will meet you outside the Golf Shop for check-in and lesson directions.
1 hour group lesson catered to your skill level; carts to get to and from the lesson area; instruction at short game area from a certified golf professional; maximum ratio of 8 students to 1 instructor. Complimentary club rentals if required.
The lesson is one hour long. The lesson will start at 6 PM. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early (5:45 PM) to get checked in and travel to the lesson area.
Refunds will be accepted up until one week prior to the event. Past this point, you may send someone else in your place. Please e-mail [email protected] to transfer your ticket.
Remember to bring sunscreen, bug spray, a refreshment, and appropriate outdoor apparel for the weather.
Proper golf attire is required. Ladies tops may have a collar with no sleeves or no collar with sleeves. All shorts must have an inseam of no less than six inches with a finished hem. Soft spike golf shoes or athletic shoes are preferred. What Not to Wear: tank tops, jeans, flip flops.
Complimentary golf club rentals are included. Please let us know ahead of the lesson if rentals are required.
We will be heading over to Nixx Neighbourhood Pub for a post-lesson dinner and drink! They are a 3 minute drive from the Winston (2418 Edmonton Trail NE).

The Winston is located at 2502 6 St NE, less than a 10-min drive from downtown Calgary. Free parking is available onsite. When you drive into The Winston parking lot, it's easiest to park on the left side of the parking lot if spaces are available.
