About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes
  • Ages 18+

Whether you’re an experienced rider or just getting into cycling, this event is all about empowering women on two wheels, building confidence in a supportive group, and testing out Garmin’s cutting-edge cycling tech.

We will be leading two rides concurrently: one gravel and one road ride. The routes will be sent out a week ahead of the event, and they will be automatically programmed into Garmin's bike computers! The speed and distance of the rides will be dependent on the experience of the participants - stay tuned for more info :)

This is a NO DROP women's ride. That means: no one gets left behind! Prior cycling experience is necessary, however we are here to help and guide those without as much experience.

🔥 What to Expect:

  • Demo Garmin’s latest cycling tech (Edge bike computers, wearables, and more!)
  • Guided group rides led by Samsara ambassadors
  • Post-ride hydration and tech talk with Garmin
  • Exclusive giveaways from Garmin & Samsara
  • An inclusive, welcoming space to connect with other women in cycling

This is more than just a ride—it’s an opportunity to build confidence, test new gear, and be part of an incredible women’s cycling community.

Spots are limited; RSVP now!

☔ Rain or Shine! In case of rain, the gravel ride will proceed as planned, and road riders will switch to a group run.

🚏 Bike parking: We will not have a dedicated bike valet, but we will provide racks to lock bikes to around the shop, for the gear talk portion of the event. All attendees will need to bring a bike lock to secure their steed.

📃 Liability:

  • We have purchased insurance from Cycling BC for this event, and have priced tickets to help offset some of this cost. Participants will be covered in case of an accident while riding with us. Stay tuned for a link to the portal for official registration, which we will circulate to those who have RSVP'ed to this event.
  • We will have physical waivers on-site for those testing out Garmin gear. You must bring a piece of identification if you plan on demo-ing any gear.
  • We do not take ownership for lost or stolen items.

🎒 What you need to bring:

  • One piece of ID
  • Your bike and helmet
  • A water bottle and ride nutrition if needed
  • Athletic clothing
  • Suggestion: a rear red light for safety
  • Suggestion: a mug for sustainable post-ride refreshments!
  • Suggestion: your own Garmin gear to integrate with the trial tech

🚴‍♀️ About our Ride Leaders:

Claudia Bastien will be our primary ride leader, and we will reveal the complete ride leader team at a later date.

Claudia is an endurance athlete, adventurer, and ambassador for Garmin Outdoor and Samsara Cycle. She thrives on pushing her limits in long-distance bikepacking, mountaineering, and triathlons, recently completing a 5,000km solo bikepacking journey from Canada to Mexico.

Beyond endurance sports, Claudia facilitates breathwork, meditation, and cold plunge sessions, helping others build mental and physical resilience. She’s passionate about empowering women in adventure and endurance, making the outdoors more accessible through community-driven events. Her next big mission takes her to Australia’s west coast for a solo, unsupported bikepacking expedition—continuing to challenge the boundaries of endurance and adventure.
