Popularized by the Netflix game show "Is it Cake?", Trompe-l'œil (French for 'deceive the eye') is an artistic term for a highly realistic optical illusion.
We are offering 2 events with this theme, check it here. If you would like to register for both classes, call the store at 604-939-6200 to register and save 10% off both events!
On the menu:
We will be sculpting two cakes that look and taste like fruit, then colouring and finishing them to create the final illusion
Participants will sculpt their own cakes then dip and colour them before taking them home
In this class, the cake flavours will be mango and banana
An appetizer plate with cheeses, crackers, spreads and fruits will be served for your enjoyement during the class.
$119+ gst per person (please purchase one ticket per attendees)
Want to save the Eventbrite fee? You can register in person and over the phone directly with the store (604) 939-6200. Payment is required when you register - visa, MasterCard, gift certificates are accepted over the phone, cash and debit in person.
We have a 72 hours cancelation policy. If you need to cancel but have not given 72 hours notice, no refund, transfer to another class or credit will be issued, but you can send somebody in your place.
In the event that not enough participants are registered, we would have to cancel the class. We will notify registered participants at least 48 hrs prior and issue a full refund.
Please inquire prior to booking if there are any diet or allergy concern. No accommodations can be arranged for this event, but you are welcome to participate and learn something new!
