Refresh Your Space — Without Spending a Dime! Ready to switch up your home decor without breaking the bank? Join us for the next Hometown Social: a Home Decor Swap hosted by the Hometown Real Estate Group at Nest Realty and featuring Karen Martin of Feel Good Staging & Design.

This is your chance to clear out gently used decor you no longer need—and trade it in for something that better fits your current style. Whether your tastes have changed or you just need a small refresh, this relaxed, drop-in event is the perfect way to find something “new to you.” Please make sure all swap items are gently used, stylish, and easy to carry - see full list below!

🛍️How It Works

Register here to let us know you're coming.
Pick out your swap items — gently used home decor pieces in good condition (see below for a list of suggestions!)
Drop Off Your Items a Few Days Before: Package your decor items (maximum of 5 items per registered person) in a bag or box labeled with your name and bring them to the Nest Realty office during the drop-off times below:

Daytime Drop-Offs: June 2&5, 2025 - 9:30AM - 4PM

Evening Drop-Offs: June 3 & 4, 2025 - 4PM - 8PM

4.When you drop off your items, the Hometown Real Estate Group will count and record how many items you’ve brought. For every item you contribute, you’ll receive one ticket to use on the night of the event—one-for-one! You’ll use these tickets to “shop” the swap and pick out new-to-you decor pieces.

5.Come shop the swap on Friday, June 6 from 6–9 PM! When you arrive, you’ll receive your tickets at the door based on the number of items we recorded for you at drop-off. Then browse a collection of gently used decor—organized into categories to make finding the perfect piece easy and fun. Please note: all items at the event will be available on a first come, first served basis—so come early for the best selection!

Need help picking pieces that suit your home? Karen Martin of Feel Good Staging & Design will be offering styling tips and can help you select items that fit your space. Feel free to bring a few photos of your home so she can guide you.

Any unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the night, so please only bring items you're ready to part with.

🖼️What to Bring

Please bring gently used home decor items that are:

Clean and in good condition — no stains, odours (smoke-free, please), or damage
Freshly wiped down or washed — please give your items a quick clean before drop-off
Stylish and current — something you’d be happy to receive yourself
New or like-new — maybe even items with tags still on!
Small and swappable — things that are easy to carry and display

✅Examples include:

Throw pillows and blankets
Small art prints or wall decor
Vases, candles, or decorative trays
Baskets and bins
Small decorative accents (ceramic pieces, signs, mirrors, etc.)
Faux plants, plant pots or planter
Lamps or lamp shades
Picture Frames

❌Please do not bring:

Bedding or towels (unless they’re in their original packaging)
Large furniture
Items that are broken, stained, or have strong odours
Anything that would be difficult for others to transport or repurpose
Items that are special or sentimental to you — once you drop something off, it may not find its way back to you, so only part with pieces you’re truly ready to let go of
