Munchies to Mindful: Snacking with Intention

Snacking is an ingrained part of our everyday routine, whether it’s the mid-morning tide-me-over-to-lunch snack, pick-me-up late afternoon energy boost or late-night feeling-kind-of-snacky munch. Snacks are often used as a quick fix to boost energy, curb hunger, or satisfy boredom or cravings, but what if there were a better way to approach snacking? What if we focused on being mindful of our snacking and ensured that we snack intentionally in a nourishing way?

By slowing down and listening to cues, we can check in with what our body really needs. Snacking with intention is a simple but powerful way to improve eating habits, provide lasting energy, and nourish your body in a balanced and mindful way.

Join us as we discuss the benefits of mindful eating, healthy snack habits, and what foods are best for feeling full and satisfied. This class will focus on snacks rich in protein, fibre, and healthy fats that can be made ahead so you always have a nutritious, mindful snack ready to go.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring anything with me to the class?

Nope! Just bring yourself and your appetite for learning. All ingredients, supplies, and recipe materials will be provided. You may want to bring a water bottle and a notebook if you'd like to take notes, but that's completely optional.

Is this class suitable for people with dietary restrictions?

Many of the snacks we’ll make are naturally gluten-free, dairy-free, and plant-based, and we’ll do our best to accommodate common food sensitivities. If you have specific dietary concerns, please let us know when registering so we can prepare appropriately.

Will we be cooking or just watching demonstrations?

This class will be a demonstration, but it’s designed to be interactive. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, taste everything that’s made, and take notes so you feel confident recreating the snacks at home.

Can I take home the snacks or recipes we make?

While the snacks will be enjoyed together during the class and not packaged to take home, you will receive a full recipe booklet so you can recreate each one on your own. Bring your curiosity—and your appetite!
