David Leyland, MSc PT, BPHE/BSc, CSCS, FDN/IMS:
- David has been a Physiotherapist for over a decade practicing in Vancouver. Before becoming a Physiotherapist, David was a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, which laid an amazing foundation for my career as Rehab Pro. He could not recommend becoming well versed in S&C to any young rehab pro enough, "to me it is the foundation of what we do". Early in his rehab career David spent a lot of time developing strong manual therapy skills which he found extremely helpful to manage pain and restore range of motion in his clients. With strong backgrounds in both exercise prescription and manual therapy he wanted to create an educational platform to help connect the dots between the two as he knows it can be a confusing world out there for Rehab Pros to navigate.
- At the end of the day movement is medicine. Exercise prescription is our gold standard in treatment. However, Manual Therapy is what he describes as "micro-movement education". How can we take assessment findings, implement effective treatments to manage pain and restore joint function and then follow it up with very impactful and direct exercise prescription work. This is the golden ticket and one of the main goals of my courses, workshops and memberships.

A former CFL athlete, Kris was drafted 11th overall by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, but his playing career was cut short by injury. He holds an NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification and a Master’s in Exercise Science from Edith Cowan University.

- Her academic research focuses on the impact of subclinical neck pain on the vestibulo-ocular reflex, a critical area for understanding cervicogenic considerations to dizziness and other post-concussion symptoms. Her current work aims to further explore the evolving understanding of how neurophysiological factors influence athlete recovery and long-term brain health.
- In addition to her clincial and research experience, Christie has worked with Canada Basketball, Trent University, Whitby FC League1, and teams within the Don Mills Flyers organization. She is committed to advancing the field of athletic therapy through interdisciplinary collaboration, research-driven innovation, and patient-centered care.
Tristan Sandhu, DAT, MSc, CAT(C):
- Tristan spent 12 seasons working in professionall football with the BC Lions. He spent time as an Assistant & Head Athletic Therapist, as well as the Director of Player Health & Performance.
